Upgrade corrupted OS (bitlocker protected) to RTM 8.1 will that keep the bitlocker keys to other locked drives

I have a Bitlocker protected drive OS Windows 8 pro that I have tired everything to recover.  I have the unlock key to use with Repair BDE.

However, I was thinking if I upgrade with Windows 8.1 and kept my files will that keep the bitlocker key to the RAID drive?  I upgraded another win 8 Pro with 8.1 and it kept my files and it recognized and kept all sorts of settings like my picture password?

Alternatively could I use in the advanced repair the restore but keep user files.

Hi,

If you back the key in other Drives, it will not be deleted when you make a Windows upgrade, even the clean install.

If you need further assistance on this particular issue or any other Windows related issue, let us know and we will be glad to assist you.

Hi Roger,

Sorry I didn't understand this "If you back the key in other Drives, it will not be deleted when you make a Windows upgrade, even the clean install."

Are you saying when I update the OS I will still be able to get to the other drives if I know the password.  I don't have the 8 group key.
