I have installed licenced version of Windows 8 SL. While upgrading to 8.1 SL from store, the link gets disconnected after some time.

It is a very big file more than 2.4 GB. Is there any way download and save it for installing at own convenient time.

(1). I had requested earlier to advise me on the version of Windows 8.1 I should have while upgrading licenced version of Windows 8 SL (UK English) installed on my desktop computer. In reply , I was given links to download ISO Images of both UK English and US English versions. I selected Windows 8.1 (UK English version) and downloaded the same.

(2). After making a bootable DVD as well as bootable USB pen drive, I attempted to boot with the pen drive and screen came up asking for KEY. I entered the windows 8 licenced key and it was rejected.

(3.) I am attaching the page where I was given the advice as under:

Hi,

I suggest you to upgrading to Windows 8.1 in App store and it is for free.
If you do want to use the upgrade to Windows 8.1 by IOS image, I am afraid that you need to buy the license key.
