Upgrade From Lync 2010

Hi Everyone,

I have a client that is doing a whole domain migration and also upgrading from lync 2010 to skype for business. There is only one concern i have since i am doing the domain migration i will be setting up skype for business server in the new domain instead of upgrading to lync 2013 and then skype for business. Is this a good idea? My one concern is this

Old domain = abc.local

new domain - cde.com

Lync 2010 is set up with all the url's and sip for cde.com

Will this cause any issue for me when i set up the new skype for business server if i use cde.com as my primary domain for the new domain. Let me know if my question doesnt make sense. I am sure i can just change all the url's and i should be fine but want to see if there are any other concerns

Thanks in advance

Thank but that doesnt really answer my question i wasnt really going to upgrade but create a new Skype for Business server in the new Domain. I was more concerned about the domain name since right now i am using domain for my sip which i was going to be the primary domain in the new domain.

Do you think it will be best to do an upgrade path rather then creating a new server this way the domain names will not interfere at all

thanks
