Updating bios
Am using Emachines C2881 which has FIC VC37GV board.
Wish to replace Emachines bios with FIC VC37GV bios.
Will I have problems running Windows XP Home
(presently O.K. on machine) after bios change?

If you have a large oem PC then you should obtain any driver / bios updates from that PC maker.
If you update from elswhere you run the risk of your PC not functioning correctly, and with regard the Bios, failing completely
