Updates can not or will not download into system. I have tried clicking on the balloon single, double, and right clicking too.Even when the system restarts there is no stoppage or warning in shutting down.And the balloon and notice of the updates are still in the tray and pop-up...Son mentioned some thing about a msn update for or to the next level or somethng like that..Yhank you for your time, help, knowledge and info. response it is appreciated...

Those updates are for Windows Live Messanger then (from what I understood). If this is so, it won't tell you don't turn of your computer because it's for a program. To update MSN, open the messanger press "alt", click "help" tab, then go to "about" check the version if it's under version 14 then click the link and download the newest version.
