We use Microsoft Forefront Endpoint Client 2010 as antivirus solution with SCCM 2007. our source package is still 4 .1.522. Some of our clients got updated to 4.2 and others to 4.3 via windows updates. our main problem a lot of our clients are not seeing the package when we ran windows update. we have also run windows update directly and bypassing sccm for the updates.

Deploying this FEP v 4.3 via windows update have caused other issues when it worked with some clients. For example when we deployed our patches automatically overnight we have noticed many clients did not complete the patches as they got stuck while installing this patch and need a manual reboot.

My question is:

Is there a package and if there is where can I download a 4.3 package so that I can advertised and deploy to all clients?

This update to FEP 2010 updates the fepinstall.exe file to 4.3... this should be the one you are looking for http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2865173
