Vista books will be fine with Windows 7 for 98% of the OS. There will be 3rd party books galore once the OS is RTM and trust me publishers will be flooding the market like they did with each prior version of Windows. As for free books, good luck.IT/Developer, Windows/Linux/Whatever I need a new web server, the antique IBM 300GL has a 137GB disk limit, for my chess site. I wanted to post many more downloadable files, the existing 30GB disk is insufficient.

Hi Reckon, Unfortunately, MS will not be telling this info in advance - whether they will be giving out free books or not. What I would suggest is for you to keep a lookout at MS Press' site. The free books offer usually get posted there first. :) Or subscript to MS Press newsletter.
