I just upgraded from XP Pro SP2 to SP3 and from IE6 to IE7. Now my comouter reboots on its own after being on a few minutes. The time varies between reboots. Check the event logs (Event Viewer in Administrative Tools folder) for noteworthy events. Is the system rebooting due to a blue screen, perhaps? Follow the instructions here to configure the system not to automatically restart on system failure. Next time the problem occurs, what happens? Are there any files in c:\windows\minidump?
