Unwanted keyboard languages keep appearing!
So, I'm using a laptop that's got a Spanish (Chile) - Latin America keyboard layout. At home I plug in a USB keyboard that uses the English (United States) - Dvorak International custom layout, so I use the language bar and keyboard shortcut to switch between them. Recently, I've been having problems with the keyboard languages: unwanted ones appear on the language bar! Specifically, English (US) - US and Spanish (Mexico) - Latin America. This is bothersome because sometimes Dvorak and US Standard get switched without prompt - it drives me crazy when it happens - and I need to press the shortcut twice just to get from my laptop's language to my USB keyboard's since now I have 3 main languages installeh instead of just two. I can fix this temporarily by adding the culprit languages in the menu, then deleting them. But they keep coming back! I figured that this may be caused by some applications, but there's no related setting in any of them that could fix this behavior. Is there any way I can fix this or, even better, prevent programs from installing new keyboard layouts altogether?

Wlcome to world of International computing. My latest tool for dumping the list of installed programs is English only but it works fine on any SKU of Windows. Windows MVP, XP, Vista, 7. Expanding into Windows Server 2008 R2, SQL Server, SharePoint etc. I feel badly for my American friends who have to endure the extremists in Washington who are bankrupting the nation over ideology. My page on Video Card Problems is now my most popular landing page. See my gaming site for game reviews etc. Developer | Windows IT | Chess | Economics | Hardcore Games | Vegan Advocate | PC Reviews
