Unwanted and VERY annoying popup...

Ive searched the forums and cant find any reference to this popup but have tried every remedy including refreshing my HP Stream laptop. It will appear at any time, most everywhere and can inhibit my ability to fill our online forms (like a Windows Forum question). Heres a quick description:

The popup is a large rectangular box which measures 5 X 2 . There appears a black stick figure which walks across a green and black area bordered in black.

The first member who can fix this issue will share a beer with me on the Burlington Marketplace during Junes Jazz Festival.

Thank you,

Joe

Have you run any anti-virus scans? Or malwarebytes?

Please upload a copy of your system information file. Click "start" , type "msinfo32" , Click "file" at the top of the page, select "export" and give the file a name and click "save" .

Navigate to where the file was saved to, and upload the generated text file to a public folder on your OneDrive account and post the link here.

Joe

If you still havent resolved it, I suggest you run the Junkware Removal Tool (JRT). It is a unique little program that searches for and removes common adware, toolbars and potentially unwanted programs (PUPs) from your computer. Download JRT.exe (make sure nothing else is downloaded) from Download Now @Authors Site link here http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/junkware-removal-tool/

It runs in a command window and can take up to ten minutes to complete. Dont interrupt it if it appears to be doing nothing, particularly when its checking the registry. You may have to right-click or press and hold the shortcut and choose Run as administrator. A log file is created on the Desktop and both the program (JRT.exe) and the log file can be deleted when youve eventually finished with it.

Hi,

A stick man sounds like a virus or comes with a malicious plug-ins, full scan by using Anti-spyware should be the first thing we need to do as mentioned by Acreed02.

An online search didnt not get much clue. And it also could come with some software you installed, a picture might be helpful in this case. When this stick man pops up, check your task manager try finding any suspect process, it might be running all the time or just running when the stick man popping up. Also check if there is suspect in your startup program list.

Regards,

D. Wu
