Uninstalling Win 7 Build 7100
I've been beta testing Win 7 from the beginning. I don't recall if I did an upgrade to my Vista Ultimate or if I did a custom new install. Are there any reasons why I can't simply revert to Vista Ultimate by using an Acronis Vista full backup that I saved to an external hard drive? I'll purchase Win 7 Ultimate sometime later this year. I'll probably go with the full version instead of the upgrade. It is the responsibility and duty of everyone to help the underprivileged and unfortunate among us.

I don't see any reason why you can not do this. If it is an Image Backup there should be no problem. Just be sure to save any new data that you don't want to lose before doing it.

Hi,If you installed Windows 7 as a new installation over an earlier version of Windows, you can restore the previous vista from the Windows.old folder. For details, reger to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971762.In addition, Windows 7 has bult-in VHD file mount support and Vista Backup is nothing more than vhd file. You can right-click Disk Management to create a VHD file.
