Uninstalling IE9
I want to uninstall IE9 and reinstall and older version, but I can't find any means of doing this. The built-in uninstaller does NOT list the program, nor can any 3rd-party uninstaller find it.

First step: ensure you have another browser (I.E. Chrome)
open up "uninstall a program" and choose "turn windows features on and off"
from the list uninstall internet explorer
Open the second browser
search for the download of IE8 or 7 (whichever one you wish to get)
and download
this worked for me when I had a machine that came packed with IE8 and needed to downgrade to IE7, let me know how you get on!

I already have the browsers downloaded. I just need to know how to get rid of IE9 in order to roll back to an older IE.

That didn't work. It won't let me install any other IE except for 9. It keeps saying that this browser is not supported by my OS.

cmd
Copy the text from Notepad, paste the text into the Command Prompt window at a command prompt, and then press Enter.
After the command runs, and the Command Prompt window returns, repeat step 7, and then go to step 9.

I used both methods, but did not work. The following message appeared on the popup window,
"An error has occurred. Not all of the updates were unsuccessfully uninstalled."
Any other methods, please suggest.
