Uninstall/Disable OneNote metro app
What is the easiest way to accomplish removing or disabling access to the OneNote app that comes pre-loaded
with Win 8.1 through group policy? With Office 2013 we really don't want our students using the app since it has reduced functionality.

Sorry for any confusion, but I am not trying to uninstall OneNote 2013. We want to use OneNote 2013 (the office product) but NOT the OneNote APP that comes in Win 8.
Is there a way to mass-uninstall or disable it through group policy or SCCM?

Hi Manasquan,
Thank you for your question.
We could refer to the following link to uninstall OneNote:
Get-AppxPackage *onenote* | Remove-AppxPackage
We could run this Powershell in GPO by the following link:
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd367856(v=ws.10).aspx
If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.
Best Regard,
Jim

That worked. Just a follow-up, can that be run at startup under the system context or would be it need to be run for each user individually?
