Unexpected shut down of Lenovo Y410 3-4 times a day after upgrading from windows vista to windows 7
hi i have a Y410 model of lenovo out of warranty. it originally had vista. the system used to crash down every 3 months with no solid reason. ultimately i had to get the mother board and hard disk replaced. i have now installed Windows 7. but my system keeps on shutting down atleast 4 times day. either it would shut down unexpectedly in the middle of my work or it would take 3-4 attempts to switch on. every time it shuts down, upon restarting it would ask whether to start in safe mode or rin windows normally. sometimes it would ask to launch 'repair damaged window'. i gave it to the service center but they didnt found any problem (as expected from them) please someone help me.why am i having this problem and what should i do to reapir it??

Hi Ajuruchu, Thanks for the post! Please update your BIOS and hard device driver to the latest one. What's the version of your Windows 7? Could you find any related logs in your Event Viewer? Could you find a folder c:\Windows\Minidump? If you have this Minidump folder, please zip it an upload to your SkyDrive, put it in a public folder and reply a link here. It will help us find the cause. I'll check it later. For how to upload, refer to: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itproui/thread/4fc10639-02db-4665-993a-08d865088d65 Regards, MiyaThis posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. | Please remember to click "Mark as Answer" on the post that helps you, and to click "Unmark as Answer" if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
