Can you zip up the minidump files in the C:\Windows\Minidump folder and make available (provide link) via Windows Live SkyDrive or similar site? The following link has information on using Windows Live SkyDrive: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itproui/thread/4fc10639-02db-4665-993a-08d865088d65 If you have problems zipping the minidump files copy the minidump files to another location such as a folder on the Desktop.

Hi, For some reason when I attempt to upload the file via sky Drive a window pops up telling me I dont have permission to open the fileand that I need to contact the owenr or an administrator to obtain permission. Thing is I am the only owner/user/administrator for this computer ,so I am not sure why I cant accress it. SoI can try to copy the file to another location as you mentioned, so do you mean on my desktop or elsewhere...? Thanks

You can try creating a folder on the Desktop and then copy the minidump files into that folder. You can also try copying the minidump files just to the Desktop and upload them from there, one at a time, without zipping.

The minidump file showed an IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a) stop error but no third party driver was named as causing the crash. Can you upload two or three more minidump files, to see if this error is consistent? Sometimes an errant driver will show up in one of the crashes. Also, when did this problem start and did the start of the problem coincide with any change to the system such as installing new hardware or software?

Hello, http://cid-57683c57a45064e1.office.live.com/browse.aspx/Blue%20Screen%20Crash%20files?uc=5 I just uploaded a few more. This is a new custom made computer and it has happened since i began using it. Thanks

According to the minidump files there have been different crashes with no third party driver named as causing the crash. However the crashes seem to revolve around the ntfs.sys. You may want to run a chkdsk /r on the hard disk to check for file system corruption. Running a chkdsk /r has the potential to take a long time and, as a general precaution, backup any critical files beforehand. Also, there are a few older drivers on the system such as Adobe's file system driver (adfs.sys) any one of which could be problematic. What Adobe software do you have installed and what version? Also, what CD/DVD burning software is installed and what version?

The chkdsk was in read-only mode so may not have detected errors. Try running chkdsk this way: Start > type cmd.exe in the "Search programs and files" box, then, under "Programs" right-click cmd.exe and choose "Run as administrator" Then, at the command prompt type the following and press "Enter": chkdsk /c /r Then answer "Y" to the "Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be checked the next time the system restarts?" Restart the computer

Hi, I went ahead and ran chkdsk as described above, it actually crashed the first time i tried it, but afterwards it ran to finish...and the final readout was: The type of file is NFTS the volume is clean. thanks

The latest errors were similar to the previous errors. At this point it may help to turn on the Driver Verifier against all non-Microsoft drivers to stress test them and try to weed out a problematic driver: Start > type verifier in the Search programs and files box and press "Enter" > Create standard settings > Next > Select driver names from a list > then select all non-Microsoft drivers > Finish Restart the computer. Continue to use the computer normally but if you experience any BSODs make available the minidump files. If after enabling the Driver Verifier and restarting the computer you receive a BSOD on startup and cannot start Windows, restart the computer in "Safe Mode" and do the following: Start > type verifier in the Search programs and files box and press "Enter" > Delete existing settings > Finish Restart the computer, log into Normal Mode, and make available any resulting minidump file.

I had this happen while I was trying to use the Windows DVD Maker (obviously a virus). Safe mode did nothing to help. I inserted the Windows 7 installation disk and used the Windows repair option. After I selected the Windows installation and told it to fix it, it reported no errors at all. I rebooted the computer and now everything is back to normal I think the DVD maker caused the OS to forget where the operating system was installed and the Repair option established the correct path to the OS. Mighty weird.
