Unexpected UAC Prompts
Hi, After you remove this user from Domain Users Group, did you put this user in Local computer users group for this test? Anyway, according to your test, it seems some priviledge settings of Domain Users affect this. Can you please post the report of GPresult here? Non-adminstrator users are receiving UAC prompts for tasks that they shouldn't such as running REGEDIT. They can put in their non-admin credentials and continue. If I remove the user from the Domain Users group, the prompt goes away. I have already done a dump of my GPOs and have not found a single GPO that gets applied using the Domain Users group. This not happening to users in other domains that I support even though they have the exact same UAC settings. Any ideas?
