Undeletable user accounts
Using Windows XP home edition: I have several user accounts that were deleted (no longer show up under the control panel user account management), however the directory structures and files for the accounts still exist under the Documents and Settings directory. I can't delete them because they are protected. I need to clear the disk space they are using. Recreating the accounts doesn't give me any more access I'm stuck.I have not been able to find anything on the support pages that address this adequately.1 person needs an answerI do too

Make sure you are logged in with Administrator rights. If your account has full Admin rights, right click on "My Computer", click "Properties, click "Advanced", click "Settings" in the User Profile section - the middle section, click on the accounts you want removed, then click the "Delete" button. Depending on how big the profile is - each profile account may take a few to several minutes to delete. Delete all but the Administrator account profile and the account(s) you want to keep!Good luck!
