Unblocking bloked files
I have downloaded a zip file from a book site. When trying to unzip the file, windows told me that it was blocked. I followed the Windows Help advice by opening the zip file 'Properties' and clicking 'Unblock'. This has made absolutely no difference, I still cannot open the file.HELP!!!!2 people need an answerI do too

I have the same problem with a Windows Help chm file downloaded from FujiI am logged on as an Administrator. When I right click the file the Unblock button appearsI press the button and then OKWhen I return to Properties the Unblock button is still active (i.e not greyed) - is the file still locked??When I open the file the Windows Help screen appears with the index it can not access the webpage with the information?? Ok - that might be a problem within the Fuji software....However, as regards the locking/blocking of filesWhen I head into the security tab of the File properties, select my Group (Administrators) and go to Permissions edit, Allow Full Control is ticked but is 'greyed out' and cannot be edited. The only thing I can do is set 'Deny' permissions!! back at the top level Security tab, I again select the Administrators group, go through Advanced to Permissions - Change Permissions select Adminstrators Group then Edit, the same screen appears with the greyed out Allows. Permissions are inherited from the Parent object. So, Is there some other ACL/ACE logic I need to set to Unblock this file??? This is all getting somewhat complicated!!Best regardsSteve
