Unable to view wireless networks or obtain a MAC address to setup wireless adapter on router
I have a new Windows 7 system that I have been unable to obtain any wireless connectivity. I've tried 3 different adapters (all new); uninstalled and reinstalled all three. When I use the troubleshooter, every time it says that there is a problem with the driver. I've also tried downloading and using the drivers from each manufacturer and get the same result. All 3 adapters work fine on Vista and XP. I'm not able to obtain a MAC address for the Windows 7 system even though the DHCP is turned on. The system does not see the wireless system from my router or any in the area (about 10). I'm open to any suggestions as I have spent hours trying to figure out why this is happening. Thanks!

Hi, “I'm not able to obtain a MAC address for the Windows 7 system even though the DHCP is turned on.” I don’t know what you mean, but every DHCP sever doesn’t provide a MAC address for DHCP client. If these adapters doesn’t work fine, I suggest that you may try to upgrade the drivers to a more appropriate version. Also please collect the hardware installation log file in the path of %WINDIR%\Inf\Setupapi*.log, upload the file via SkyDrive and post a link here. Then we can find some information from this log. http://explore.live.com/windows-live-skydrive?wa=wsignin1.0Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
