Unable to use user folder junction point after system restore
Hi,
For several months I had been using a junction point for my user data folder (on a different drive) and it work flawlessly. However, after I'd performed a system restore the profile folder was no longer linked and I was given a temporary profile. Now, this
seems to be a known (and unsolved) problem:

To be totally clear, the main problem right now is that want to be able to use junction points again. I'm using exactly the same procedure as last time: Create a new account, log in once to create the profile folder, go to save mode to copy the folder's
content to another drive (with hidden files, and using a folder with full permissions), remove the folder, log in to another account to create the junction point (run cmd as admin) and log into the 'real' account. The result is that the junction point is not
picked up and a temporary profile is created instead. The (implicit) suggestion I found in the threads was to remove the profilelist keys, but it didn't work for me. BTW, this seems to affect
only the user data folder, other junction points still work.
The second part of the problem is how to prevent that a system restore will leave me with a temporary profile.
Thanks in advance.

You will have to rebuild the junctions after any restore

Ok, well if that's the case I don't find it worth the hassle. I'll probably leave it like this (without the junction points).
