Unable to upgrade to SP3 for 32 bit windows xp
Windows update is not updating my windows to SP3, still on SP2. I have Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (build 2600).When I use updater i get a message that 'software upgrade for some window components required. I go ahead and hit the download and install now button and i get a message that 'some updates were not installed. specifically the windows genuine advantage validation tool (kb892130). Then update shows a screen that says failed updates please see history for information. That history shows that (KB959140) failed back on January 14, 2009. There are a series of Cancelled updates for XP; they are KB950474, kb92554, KB890830, KB905474. The last two were cancelled twice.Any ideas? ThanksW1 person needs an answerI do too

First, let's check to make sure your version of windows is legitimate. Click on the link below. In the left pane click on "Validate Windows". Allow the validation to complete. If you have MS Office installed validate it as well once windows validation is complete.I don't vote for myself I'm not here for the points. If this post helps you, vote.
