I own an external hard drive of 500GB Seagate Go in which i have stored many valuable data. While encrypting this drive accidentally the laptop {in which i am using Windows7) went off the encryption was 14% done and the drive was set to auto-unlock on my laptop. when i restarted the my laptop was unable to unlock the drive (It's reading the drive but not showing on windows explorer and i tried to mange it from bitlocker drive encryption in control panel but bitlocker stopped responding) so I tried to unlock this on my friend's computer but again the same thing happened after that i tried other steps from http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itprosecurity/thread/58e44671-0cf0-480b-9668-3876c30752a9 and http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd875513%28WS.10%29.aspx but nothing seems to work out. suppose the other information needed are as follows: BitLocker Drive Encryption Recovery Key The recovery key is used to recover the data on a BitLocker protected drive.
