Hi,am unable take remote desktop connection from windows xp.The options has been grayed out & the final one is enabled.How to make this enable.

Hi,am unable take remote desktop connection from windows xp.The options has been grayed out & the final one is enabled.How to make this enable. follow tese steps:1-update your windows XP remote desktop client from Microsoft Update2-In your windows 7 -->> right click on computer -->>Properties -->> In te left menu select Advanced System Settings -->> Remote tab -->> select the allow connection from computers running any version of remote desktopRadio Button3-Apply and Click OKI think this is solve your problemGood LuckMicrosoft Certified System Engineer 2003

Not sure about your question, but perhaps you are running either Win7 Starter or Win7 Home Basic or Win7 Home Premium, these versions have the client side only of the remote desktop application. You will need Win7 Professional, Win7 Enterprise, or Win7 Ulltimate to actually host the remote desktop application. Hope this helps

Not sure about your question, but perhaps you are running either Win7 Starter or Win7 Home Basic or Win7 Home Premium, these versions have the client side only of the remote desktop application. You will need Win7 Professional, Win7 Enterprise, or Win7 Ulltimate to actually host the remote desktop application. Hope this helps oops I forgot this !! When trying to connect to a Windows 7 machine from an XP machine go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Communications > Remote Desktop Connection.I highly recommend downloading and installing the RDC 7 client software for XP...http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/969084MS-MVP Windows Desktop Experience, "When all else fails, read the instructions"

It is stuck on the 3rd choice ( allow rdp clients with network level authentication - more secure). I want to choose the less secure method, but I can not. I am using windows 7. the rdp services are running. Any suggestions would be very helpfull. Thank you in advance.
