Unable to share network, unable to start ICS
Hi, I have win7 on my laptop. I am using wireless connection. When I tried to share wireless connection with virtual network adapter it gives me an error as unable to start ICS because of dependencies. I tried to start those dependend serivces. I was able to start following dependend services : Application Layer Gateway Service Network Connections Network Location Awareness (NLA) Plug And Play Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Telephony But I could not start the following services : Remote Access Auto Connection Manager Remote Access Connection Manager. Also pls tell me how exactly this sharing works? Thanks in advance.

What is the error message when you trying to enable one of the services? I suggest you temporary disable the antivirus and try again.Arthur Xie - MSFT

I have already performed clean boot process. When I tried to start ICS it gives an error message 1068: The Dependency services or group failed to start . When I tried to start the following processes manually Remote Access Auto Connection Manager and Remote Access Connection Manager , I got the same error message 1068: The Dependency services or group failed to start. One strange thing I found. When I tried to start event viewer I got the same message. I checked in services but there was no service available for event viewer. Is it possible that any services can get deleted? My point is that is any dependent component is missing from my services?

Remote Access Connection Manager depends on Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol Service and Telephony service. Remote Access Auto Connection Manager depends on Remote Access Connection Manager and Telephony service. Please enable all of them. After you launching services.msc, double-click on a service and click the Dependencies tab, you will see the dependencies of the service.Arthur Xie - MSFT
