Unable to set proper bottom margins
Hi, I have a HP psc 1110 all in one printer installed on a Dektop running Windows XP Pro. Through our network I have installed the printer on a laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium. I am able to print through the network with the laptop. My issue is that MS Word 2003 forces a minimum of 3.48" margin for legal size paper and all I require is 1.5" or 2". Consequently, though I can see the content on the screen upto the bottom margin 2", the printer prints only upto 3.48" of the bottom margin and matter is not printed fully. Strangely, it allows any bottom margin on A4 size paper and also prints the entire content. There are no issues with margin settings while printing from the Desktop running Windows XP with MS Word 2003. I looked at HP's website for a solution but could not find any. I also searched a few online forums but was unsuccessful. I would be grateful for your assistance. Thanks

Hi, Please first make sure the latest printer driver is installed on Windows 7. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4062&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=90787#N189 If the issue persists, the issue may be related to Word Settings. Please post a new thread to our Office forum. Also, you can contact HP to get more information about the Printer configuration. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/contacthp?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&os=4062&product=90787&sw_lang Note: Microsoft provides third-party contact information to help you find technical support. Hi, I tried going to http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4062&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=90787#N189 and updating the driver to suit Windows 7. The message there says that no driver is available and the driver for the printer is already updated with Windows 7 installed on your computer. The other two links that you were kind enough to provide also did not help. I dont think this is a Word issue, since I dont have any issues with printing on the same printer through the desktop where I have Word 2003 installed. Please let me know, if there is any other way out. HP guys say that they cannot provide support, both online or thro the telephone. There is no online documentation and the tele-support guys say that since the printer is out of warranty, they don't have any information. Thanks, Kamal

Hi Kamal, Please understand the Office 2003 acts differently between Windows XP and Windows 7. The default settings in Windows XP and Windows 7 should be different. Since the issue is not related to printer, it should be related to Office 2003 application issue. Thanks for your kind understanding.
