Hi Blate, When you use a Microsoft Exchange Servere-mail account, working offline allows you to continue working with a local copy of your information. The reasons to work offline are varied, but can include the following: The Exchange server is offline for maintenance. You are traveling and cant connect to your Exchange server. You find performance unacceptable when using a slow connection to the server, such as dial-up connections with a 56 Kbps modem. The purpose of Work Offline is to prevent any network activity from Outlook accessing your Exchange server, which will prevent you from sending e-mails. Hi Cody,Thanks for the reply.I know the purpose of working offline. Sorry,I guess I didn't state clearly my problem. The problem I'm having is that the folders are not syncronising as it should be, the work offline is enabled due to travelling and the connection is very slow, so its set to sync every 30 mins, during this sync theinbox is receiving emails but the outbox is not sending the emails out. Even manually clicking the Send/Receive doesn't work. I have to set it as working online for emails in the outbox to be sent out. It defeat the purpose of working offline if I have to be online all the time just to sent out email. Thank you.

Mail will not be sent if Outlook is in offline mode. You are only receiving mail because OL is using the Cache Exchange Mode
