Unable to see shared printers on a cluster print server by ip address

Im unable to see print server shared printers when connecting to a cluster print server (2008 r2) by ip, connecting by netbios name is not the issue. For example if I click on start run and type \\printserver I can see all the printers and I can see all
the shared printers and can connect to them, however when i type \\\192.168.1.111 for example I cant see shared printers. Any ideas?

Hi,
I recommend that you can check the router whether its configured to dynamically assigned IP address mode. If so, when the cluster print servers IP address
of lease period exceeds the time set by the router, the router would send a new IP address to the print server. Of course, at the beginning of you setup network print, Windows would be setup an option After
Changing The IP address Still connect the device. As this reason, even if the printer IP address has changed, you can also connect to the printer.

You can ping printer server to check you have a right IP address.

Yes i can pin and cando ping -a and I get respond with the same printservername. Just another part of information: on out old regular printer server we can browse both on ip address and netbios name of the print server, on our new CLUSTER print server
we can only browse base by netbios name not based on IP

Hi,
First, you shuold make sure you select Enable NetBiOS over TCP/IP option as below picture show:

Secondly, Disable TCP/IPv6 as following show:

Thirdly, You can try to clean DNS cache-Open CMD-type ipconfig/refreshdns.
Finally, try to do Print a test page and make sure the IP address in a test page is same as you provided 192.168.1.111.
