Unable to repair corrupt files with sfc/scannow on cmd
Hi, I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate on my machine, and I'm having trouble cleaning up some registry errors (I think they're registry errors). I tried running the sfc/scannow command in the Command Prompt, and I was prompted that there were some corrupt files that it was unable to fix. QUESTION: How can I repair these files? Furthermore, how can I repair these files without use of the Windows 7 DVD (it's not in my possession). I was instructed that these corrupt files are preventing me from installing SQL Server 2008 R2 Developer, and they must be corrected first. I’m afraid you need the installation disk to perform an in-place upgrade to fix the corrupted files. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2255099 Or you can try to use system restore form a well work point.
