HiAll our users who are using Vista facing issue with opening word file from shared folders (whioch is on Wondows 2003 File server), they are getting error "\\server\recruit\resumedoc.doc" is currently in use, try again later. But at the same time if we try from XP or Windows 7 machines with same account all are working fine. Hi, Thank you for posting here. Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following: 1. If youhave anti-virus software on this Windows Vista computer, please disable it or remove it to see how it works. 2. If you set this location for indexed in Windows Search, please move it out of the list; or you can just disable Windows Searchto see how it works: 1) Click Start, type "Services" (without quotations) at the Search bar, 2) Right-click on the Windows Search service and select "Properties". 3) Click the Stop button and choose "Disabled" for the start type. 4) Click OK to apply this setting. 3.
