Unable to open store after joining domain.

Hi there.

I'm working off of a Dell Precision M6800, fresh install (clean) of Windows 8.1, Domain joined account that is connected to my Microsoft Account.

When trying to launch the Windows Store, I get (0x80070005) We were unable to connect to the Windows Store.

Apps that are linked from my Microsoft Account fail to install, each one pointing me to the Windows Store for more information.

I've tried the following suggestions from other threads:

running "wsreset.exe"

making sure that all_application_packages has the correct permissions in the registry

using powershell to register the store

running the windows app store repair (appsdiagnostic.diagcab)

(results of running this show the following failures:

Checking for HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings

Reset result: FAIL

refreshing my pc

completely wiping and reloading.

No proxy set up on this pc

As soon as I join the domain...the damn store goes away.

I ran gpresult, and the only thing that my group policy is affecting is loading a new copy of the page every visit in IE.

I'm the domain administrator, so don't refer me to them.

This happens on every domain joined Windows 8.1 pc in my office.

Domain is running Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard.

where am I going wrong?

*edit*

Computer Configuration/Windows Components/Store/Turn off the Store application is set to disabled.

Tried that too, still not working.  Once it's joined to the domain, even local accounts can no longer access the store.

Hi,

I considered if following group policy is configured as Enable to turn off Store app:

Configuration - > Administrative Templates - > Windows Components -> Store -> Turn off the Store application setting.

Free Windows Admin Tool Kit Click here and download it now
