Hi,
File History Service depends on Windows Search service, so the latter must be enabled and running for File History to function. Please check the status of File history and Windows search service:
To check the status of File History and Windows Search services, use keyboard shortcut
Windows Key+R to open Run dialog, type services.msc and click OK.
Make sure the both services are set to start automatically. If not, double-click on the service name and change
Startup type to Automatic, then click Start
to run the service.
