when trying to access web credential in credential manager, it gives a error 0x80070057 (parameter error).

If there is nothing important credential stored, you can try to backup and delete this file: CREDHIST under following path:

C:\Users\userprofile\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Protect

Reboot, it would recreate the file. Check the result.

Thank you this fixed it for me. i went to the location and deleted the only folder in there and rebooted and web credential manager is now working.
