Have use AVG antivirus for a long time. Recently got screen message about new 2010 version. Downloaded it to upgrade. Installation wizard stated instalation successful, however when I tried to open the programme I got screen message stating installation unsuccesful due to inability to find an essential file required for the installation. Tried a few more times with same result.Decided therefore to try Avast. Part way through the installation process I got the following on screen message:-Cannot complete installation C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Applications and Data\MFAData\pack\vc_red msi not found. You could try again or find installation package vc_red.msi in a folder from which you can install the product. Or install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable_x86 9.0.30729.4148I already have the Visual C programme above installed.Can anyone give me some advice what to do? I am pretty much a novice here.
