Hi nospinzone 5 and Eric, Along with what Wunders has suggested, you can perform an online virus scan by booting the computer in Safe mode with networking. Step 1: To boot the computer in Safe mode with Networkinga. Use F8 while restarting the computer.b. Under Windows Advanced Boot Options, select Safe mode with networking and press Enter. I have the same problem. Antivirus Action hijacked my PC yesterday. Since then, I have not been able to go online or access any of the software programs on my computer because everytime I click on them a dialogue box opens telling me that they're infected, which I know they are not. And to make matters worse, I can't even get rid of it by using Malwarebytes because this f****** virus is blocking me from openning that, too. I don't even have access to the task manager, either. Even in Safe mode with networking, I have the same problems. Right now, I am using a computer at the school computer lab. Please, can someone help me?

As a first step, see if you can boot to Safe Mode with Command Prompt. If successful, try to do a System Restore to a date before your problem. It won't get rid of your virus but may allow you to gain enough control of your computer to run other programs to get rid of it."How to start the System Restore tool by using the safe mode option with the Command prompt in Windows XP" < http://support.microsoft.com/kb/304449 >HTH, JW

I tried this, but it wouldn't work. Either I am doing it wrong or it's because I have Windows 7. Are there different instructions for Windows 7 or is it the same?
