When I click on Check for updates it scans for about 1 second and tells me that there are no updates available. I had to reinstall at one point and wondered about the same thing. I just assumed the needed information was picked up. Mark I am assuming that I wouldn't need that bat. But If circumstances forced a format and clean install is it going to be useful? What does it aim to do?

Hi Wesley,The 7054 is only an interim build and won't solve things, nor is it supported on these forums. Can you manually get to:http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/as maybe you have a DNS problem?Cheers,Justin
