Now the problem is that when a windows 7 user is accessing the files from the shared folder he is getting read-only though he is having the full permission on the directory. But I’ve tried log in with the same user ID in the machine where XP –sp3 is installed there it’s working very much fine without any problem. Even I have tried with formatting the Win7 box but the same problem is persisting. Please help me. Many thanks, Abhinas

Hi, Before going further, please help me know the following information. 1. What is the attribute of this shared folder? 2. Can other computers with Windows 7 access the shared files? 3. What is the error message? 4. Have you installed any software or update on Windows 7? Please disable any Security Software and firewall on both sides. Also create another shared folder on Windows Server 2003 and disable Internet Connection Firewall (ICF) for testing.
