Download from store results in message saying:

"Windows 8.1 Pro This application wasn't installed - view details. Windoes is getting your your Windows 8.1 upgrade ready. You wil automatically be prompted to install Windows 8.1 soon. You can continue to use your PC in the meantime."

Download never happens.

Last year we purchased new PC's and laptops and have been trying to upgrade to 8.1 for almost  a year.

Our licensing details say that we have 4 licenses of "Windows Pro DVD Playback".

Can anyone please tell me how I can successfully download and install the free upgrade?

Follow the steps to resolve it.

1. Please refer the link below to operate step by step. Especially, please pay more attention to Windows 8.1 requirement in the following link such as disk size before you install it.

2. If it still doesnt help, start the Windows in clean boot mode and download again. Refer the link below to know how to perform clean boot mode.

3. You can reset Windows Update components by the link below.

4. If all the steps above doesnt work, please send you system log to us which under the path C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log.
