Unable to delete redundant folder from remote server
My website is being hosted on a 3rd-Party server (Windows) whose IP Address is 174.122.93.15. But its Administrator is said to be in Dubai, though its resellers [Technoweb Solutions] is based in Delhi. The Support Services of this Host are very poor in that it insists that only M/S Technoweb can raise a 'Support Ticket' on him -- but the Tickets raised by Technoweb are never replied for weeks and even months! While creating a sub-domain (through Plesk Panel) the server suddenly stopped responding midway through the process, and the process was never completed fully, in that the said sub-domain folder (named 'valconrealtors') is not listed in the sub-domains windows --however, a sub-folder with that name does exist now in the folder named 'sub-domains'. This sub-folder has only empty sub-sub-folders plus a .Security file. I am unable to upload any file into the said sub-folder, nor can I delete this sub-folder, nor rename the said .Security file -- the Error Message is: "Access Denied..." I intimated this problem to Mr Kapil (reseller at Technoweb) and he, in turn, raised a Ticket on Server Administrator last month -- but there is no reply till date, despite REMINDERS. I am surprised that some foreign businessmen could be so dishonest -- after receiving full and advance-payment from me for the whole year! Hence, those who love America or Germany (wherever the said server is located) must now help to resolve this issue -- the Question is: 'How can I change the permissions on a remote server since I, as a Consumer, have paid for a satisfactory service in advance?' Your cooperation and early action will be highly appreciated, please. GK
