I receive access denied cannot delete when trying to delete folders under my profile only. Other users on same computer are able to delete. I am listed as administrator in user profiles. In addition I am not able to save file from Firefox. Other users can download. Seems to have started after a windows update - not sure. System restore has not helped. XP SP3, updates current. Check your permissions. Most permissions for files and folders under the "My Documents" folder are inherited from the permissions set on the "My Documents" folder. The one piece of information that you left out was whether you have XP Pro or XP Home. To check or set your permissions, right-click on a file or folder, then select "Properties", then click on the "Security" tab at the top then click on "Advanced". If you don't have a security tab it is for one of the following reasons:1) You have XP Pro and are using Simple File Sharing - In which case refer to the following article: "How to disable simple file sharing and how to set permissions on a shared folder in Windows XP" < http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307874 >2) You have XP Home.... in which case you must boot to Safe Mode as administrator to get the "Security" tab to appear.An alternative method, although ugly, is to use the "cacls" command from a command prompt window.HTH, JW
