Unable to delete Charter Security Suit files off my computer
I use Windows Vista, Basic. Recently switched internet providers. I uninstalled Charter Security Suit (I thought), it no longer shows up under programs however icon still shows up on lower right of computer and a pop up appears saying, 'F-Secure Corporation'. When I right click this icon it says 'RELOAD' when I put mouse arrow on the icon it says,'UNLOAD'. I found Charter Security Suit files on OS (C:) program files by searching Internet explorer files. I tried to delete but I got the following message: 'Destination Folder Access Denied' 'You need Permission to perform this action.' Does anyone know how I can delet these files???

You need to take ownership of the folder where the files live, since Microsoft has recently decided that you don't own the contents of your PC. Right click the folder and go 'Properties'. On the 'Secuirty' tab you will find the controls to take ownership of the files and give yourself permission to delete them. Those controls are ridiculously hard to use, so use the help, or wait for a MSFT to come here and post links to KB articles.Just trying to get value-for-money for the $20,000 worth of your products I support...

Thanks so much for your response to my question. I will watch for a posting from MSFT. In the mean time try I will try what you suggested and let you know if I have any success!

Hi Unstoppable, after checking the issue, it seems this is a general Windows Vista related issue. As this forum focuses on Windows 7 specific issues, this inquiry would best be posted to Windows Vista forum: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/windowsvistaitpro The reason why we recommend posting appropriately is you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the forums regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction with us. Thank you for your understanding.
