Unable to connect to broadband when machine is first started
Hi All Looking for some help with a problem that has just started on my Windows 7 machine When I turn the computer on it is un-able to connect to the internet through my broadband router, the connection and router is fine as I can connect with my Windows XP netbook and my phone. The network icon on the taskbar just shows a yellow triange. If I then open Network and Sharing Centre I get this page If I then go to Change Adaptor settings and click disable this network device and then click enable this network device it all starts working and I then get this page I have to through this every time I turn the PC on. Anyone got any idea why its happening and how do I resolve it. I did do a full clean re-install of the OS and that fixed the problem for about 2 days and then it returned. Thanks for any help Pau

I think you've got your screenshots reversed... Anyway, do you have anything like iTunes, Quicktime or any other Apple software installed? Or possibly Adobe Photoshop?

Okay. Disable/uninstall/remove or otherwise get rid of the Bonjour service/software that CS3 installs. If you need Bonjour for something (and you probably don't), go to Apple's website and get the latest version. Earlier versions of Bonjour have known compatibility issues with Windows 7 and cause just the issue you're seeing.

Hi Just checked and Bonjour is not showing as installed. But it is showing as running in the services list so I have turned it of from there. Will let you know how I get on after the next system startup. Thanks Paul

Hi I have done a couple of re-starts now since saying Au revoir to Bonjour and so far all is well with the internet connection so it looks like you are correct. Do you know what it is with bonjour that is blocking the network connection. Thanks for the help Paul

Not really, no. I do know that it overrides your default gateway and route settings thus disabling your local network. It's only the older versions, designed for XP and before that have the issue; the newer versions have fixed this.
