Unable to browse shares on systems across the WAN
Just yesterday a Vista SP2 system at one of our remote locations started exhibiting problems... - When we try to open a DFS path, the following error is returned: 0x80070002 The system cannot find the file specified - When we try to open a share on the DC at the corporate office: "The specified network name is no longer available." - When we try to open the dc directly (e.g., run -> \\dc4, enter): 0x80070035 The network path was not found - When we try to map a share located on a remote system: The specified network name is no longer available. We can browse any computer on the local network without issue, and the local DC can browse any system on the corporate network without issue. No changes have been made to the firewall settings recently. The problem is only exhibited on Vista systems since about yesterday afternoon. I get the same errors on my workstation (same Vista SP2) when trying to browse systems at the remote location Here is what I have tried so far... - Enabled Network Discovery - Uninstalled KB967723 from rp1-d1 BODY { FONT-FAMILY:Tahoma; FONT-SIZE:10pt } P { FONT-FAMILY:Tahoma; FONT-SIZE:10pt } DIV { FONT-FAMILY:Tahoma; FONT-SIZE:10pt } TD { FONT-FAMILY:Tahoma; FONT-SIZE:10pt } - Uninstalled kb970710 from rp1-d1 - Checked IP settings, everything same as before - Can browse the Internet just fine - Can open a web page on a server at the corporate office - No event log entries related to TCP/IP, netbios, etc. - Pinging works just fine Any thoughts?
