Unable to add wireless network manually
I need to manually add a wireless network to the laptop. However when I click on Add on the wireless Connection Properties window there is no pop up window. If I try it on a similiar laptop the Wireless Network Properties windows pops up. The Wireless Zero Configuration service is started. How can I get the Wireless Network Properties window to appear?1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi Ganesh,· Were you able to create wireless network on your laptop earlier?· Who is the manufacturer of the wireless network card?· Do you have any software installed for the network card from manufacturer?You may follow these steps & check if it helps.Step 1a. You may check in device manager if the network wireless card driver is properly installed.b.You may also download & install the latest network card drivers from the manufacturer’s website. Thereafter, try creating wireless network & check if the issue persists.How to manage devices in Windows XPStep 2To create a wireless network, you may follow these steps.a. Click Start, click Run, type ‘ncpa.cpl’, and then click Ok.b. In the Network Connections window, right-click the Wireless Network Connection icon, and then click Properties.c. In the Wireless Network Connection Properties, click the Wireless Networks tab. If you do not see a Wireless Networks tab, your network adapter may not support the Wireless Zero Configuration service.d. Under the Preferred networks, click the Add button.e. In the Network name (SSID) box, type the name of the access point and select the appropriate settings according to your network requirements. This setting will match the configuration of your access point or router. If you do not have a wireless router or access point, then set the wireless mode to Ad-hoc and use the same network name that matches the other computers.f. Click Okg.
