Alexander is basically right - for in depth support of the device you'd need to go to the vendor of the device (especially since you haven't even told us what brand/model of device it is). That said, if you're just looking ot connect your computer to your wireless network then you want to set it up as a wireless adapter...not as an access point or station. Access Point or Station will probably configure it to allow others to connect to you...rather than allow you to connect to an established network. -B- http://www.officeforlawyers.com | http://www.onenote-tips.com Author: The Lawyer's Guide to Microsoft Outlook

Wi-Fi USB Adapter for Nintendo DS Lite / PSP / Wii / PS3 - GNDSLITEAD01 This is the name of the device. It makes my computer the wi-fi generator so the Wii can conect to the internet through my computer. The instructions do not tell me what type of conection "station or access point" that is needed to do this it only gives you the steps necisarey to do both.

Oh, goodness. That's a whole different kind of application. In that case you DO want to make it an Access Point, but how...???You really need to contact Nintendo support for that one.Do you not have a wireless router/network already? That's how I connect my Wii.-B- http://www.officeforlawyers.com | http://www.onenote-tips.com Author: The Lawyer's Guide to Microsoft Outlook

HiAccess point is the wireless part of a Wireless Router.Your Wii is a client Wireless so it should be an adapter installation. However if the adapter side need drivers that might be a problem for a Wii.Some Wireless devices in Access Point configuration have a Mode that is usually called Client Mode.Wireless Modes - http://www.ezlan.net/Wireless_Modes.htmlIn such mode, the Access Point is working as a Wireless Adapter that does not need drivers.I never saw it with USB, it is usually an Ethernet function.Post the device’s make and model. Sounds like the OP is trying to install a USB device on his PC that will enable the Wii to connect to it and use it as an Internet router.(Just clarifying)-B- http://www.officeforlawyers.com | http://www.onenote-tips.com Author: The Lawyer's Guide to Microsoft Outlook
