USB Stick - not recognized after connected to yellow USB Port - bitlocker
Hello, I've got a problem with one of my USBDrives and my Lenovo Notebook. Normaly I connect the Stick using the normal black USB 2.0 Ports. Yesterday I accidently connected the stick using the yellow USB Port (more power) Now the USB Stick gets a drive letter, but now Partition will be shown in Windows Explorer. When I use the stick with an other PC everything works fine. I'm afraid the when I delete the USB Drivers in Windows 7 so that they can reinstall will shut down my notebook because the key located on an usb Stick will not work correctly on startup. Is there any other way to acced the usb Stick in my notebook again? Regards Thomas

Hi, You needn’t restart PC when you delete USB Drivers. When you delete USB Mass Storage Device or USB Composite Device under USB controllers in Computer\Management\Device manager, you can right USB controllers and click “Scan for hardware changes”, PC will install USB driver if it recognize USB drive. In addition, if you want to reduce the risk of BitLocker, you can temporally turn off BitLocker first, then reinstall the USB driver. Hope that helps.
