USB DVB-T: unsigned driver...
Hi everybody! I am here to ask help about a USB DVB-T recivier, designed for XP. I installed the drivers on Windows Se7en, anything seems to be OK when clicking on finish but... after click a windows message appears saying "Windows requies a digitally signed driver". Please, see here the entire message: http://i27.tinypic.com/15s0djs.png After installing the driver, I installed the software included with drivers. But I saw it couldn't find any DVB-T recivier. I know the problem is the unsigned driver, so I am here to ask you if is there any way to manual sign the driver or if is there any signed driver I can use. (p.s. This is the file indicated to be the unsigned driver: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=MFMCESFT)

I thinh the only way around this one is by test signing the driver and then running the computer in driver test mode. This must be a 64 bit os?

Oh, yeah, I forgot to say this.. so, it's 64-bit, RC1 build 7100. How should I do to sign the driver ? I searched a lot on web sites but nothing helped me... Another thing: on the DVB-T device is writen: DVBT USB Dongle. I think dongle must be the producer or something similar, but i didn't found any website for it. But the strange thing is this: in Computer managament > Device management the device is indicated as being a "Sound, Video and game controller" Device and the sub-device is named "Intel CE9500 DVB-T (Enh) Receiver".

I'm not sure how you could test sign a driver. There are a few tools that do it from the windows driver kit and you may need an MSDN subscription to obbtain them. You could try running your computer in driver test mode but I'm almost certain it would makeno difference unless the driver in question is test signed.

Can you explain me how to do with the tools from MSDN ? Also, trying to run the computer in driver mode may be the solution, how can I do it ? Thank you for answering me :)

The link below is at you own risk.http://www.blogsdna.com/2775/install-unsigned-drivers-on-windows-7-vista-with-driver-signature-enforcement-overrider.htmThe only other way to test sign drivers is with an msdn subcription. The command to run your computer in test mode is as follows:bcdedit -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS There is also a group policy seeting which can be set to allow unsigned drivers althouh I am sure itwon't work on your version of windows.

Tried everything possible.. nothing, it doesn't work... The software in the link worked good just for a little because, when tried to sign the file it says it was signed but by going in Computer management to see the driver files (after restart), the file is even reported as unsigned... the software included in the drivers CD now finds the DVB-T device but it says always "No signal" ... Anyhow Mr. Seven, thanks for trying to help me. Bye!
