UNC connect with UID, PW, and Domain not working on some PC's.
We have a persistent VPN open on our network. When I connect from my local PC or my laptop I can connect to the path we are attempting to get to. On different machines we are unable to connect to the path. \\99.99.99.99\share\folder\folder\folder I connect with the vpn clients \Domain\user and pw. I can ping the address from all machines. When I attempt to map a drive to the path it is unable to find the location. Any help would be appreciated. Local machines are all Windows 7. Thanks in advance.

A. I could not say anything special without seeing the output from Network Monitor. B. In mapping drives do you use netbios name, FQDN or IP? Regards Milos

Im using the IP 99.99.99.99 = IP. I don't have the share name to the machine in question. \\99.99.99.99\share\folder\folder\folder Is there a tool I can use to determine what the problem might be? Is this something on their end? Perhaps only allowing one connection?

Hi, Turn off the firewall on the remote computer. Ping just means the connectivity is normal, but it doesnot mean the SMB protocol is also normal. Juke Chou TechNet Community Support
