UAC wont let Everest (system Monitor) run at startup
I use Everset to monitor my System Temperatures and want it to start when i start Windows. UAC ask me to approve this program every time.Is there a way to do this or is there an Exception option for UAC.Your help to overcome this minor irritation would be most appreciated

I don't know a way to circumvent this while having UAC turned on, so I can only recommend to turn UAC off. Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Change User Account Control settings -> Slide the bar down to 'Never notify' -> Press OK.

That's the problem I have.I don't want to turn off UAC.I had it turned off in Vista and hoped they had found a solution for this problem which I am sure that there are thousands of Users with the same type of problem

Yes, it probably annoys the hell out of thousands of users, but I doubt you can consider this a bug or an error. It seems to me UAC is doing exactly that which it is supposed to do - to warn you about (naughty) applications and such requiring more thorough access to your system.Personally I can't understand why you would want to have it turned on. It keeps bothering you with warnings if an useful application so much as farts in the general direction of your system.

I have the same problem with Process Explorer. The only way to get that to start with Windows is to disable UAC.To be honest, I found the lower (but not off altogether) setting for UAC to be a lot better in Windows 7 than in my limited time on Vista. I wouldn't mind leaving it on, except for this startup problem.I'd love to see a setting whereby you can whitelist certain programs from UAC.Until then, I'm doing without.

I have had the same experience with Everest, but it is even more bizarre than that. I recently had to uninstall and reinsatll Avanquest' System Suite 9 Professional (a whole other story). Previously I did not get the "Do you want to allow..." message from System Suite 9, but now I am. Even more bizarre, I was getting the same prompt for Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer! I finally fixed the last two by clicking on Properties/Advanced and turning off the run as administrator. But this is not set for Everest or System Suite. My UAC setting is the one just above the bottom one.It is probably my misunderstanding about UAC, but I am finding it rather annoying. I am the only person that uses this machine, I install all the programs, and I am an administrator. How can I set it so certain programs can run w/o this prompt? I understand I can disable UAC, but then I lose the security of UAC and the desktop gadgets don't work.To me, this is not the most ideal implementation.Thanks.
