UAC trouble
I am running windows 7 ultimate on two machines that were running Vista Home Premium and one computer that I also successfully upgraded to windows 7 home premium. My problem is: when I try to install new programs the UAC window comes up for only a split second and then the computer goes to screen saver. This happens on all three computers (a Dell XPS 13, and HP 9350f and an Acer 3810tz running W7 home premium.) I have tried to go in and change UAC settings sliding the bar down but the same thing happens of course because I am not allowed time to react to the prompt before it goes to screen saver. Anyone else having this problem? I have searched for several days now and come up with nothing. Thanks for any help. Jim

I never heared about this issue before. Are you using the latest drivers? Have you tried to disable the screensavers completely? André"A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code" CLIP- Stellvertreter http://www.winvistaside.de/

Hi, Please also try following steps. 1. Temporarily turn off UAC (Scroll down to Never Notify) and try to install some programs. 2. Create a new admin account and install some other program for a test. 3. Perform a Clean Boot to check the result. Thanks, Novak
