UAC has user account locked out
My "Report Problems" task was turned off and the buttons greyed out. I could not get the buttons to become available even when I right-clicked and chose 'Run as Administrator'. When I went online and searched for a cure to the issue, a Microsoft Answer page came up and said to go to User Accounts and disable the UAC then restart the computer. The article said after restarting the computer, go to the 'Report Problems' page and enable the auto button. After doing this return to the User Account and re-enable UAC and restart. The problem is that after disabling UAC and restarting I am unable to log back in. There is no account and no password I can put into it to get back into the system. The computer is not part of a domain. Effectively, I have disabled all of Vista Ultimate for my use. What can I do to 1) Automatically report problems and get solutions 2) Get my account back where I can log into the system. I am the system administrator for the computer. I also found it quite funny that I was supposed to put in a product ID to see if I could get help without being charged but the only way to obtain the ID was to start the computer and go to a certain page to get the info. Very hard to do if you can't log in!
